Wife and I have bought two SF mattresses in the past. Each lasted an avg of 12 years. Bought the newest (an Estate series in Luxury Plush for nearly $2.5K) in March of 2010 from The Roomstore (Grapevine, TX), which has since gone out of business. Now (only 28 months later!) the body depressions where we each lie are so broken down that we both awake in pain and unable to stand up straight for the first 10-15 minutes of every morning. We're moving into the guest room this afternoon until this mattress/foundation is relpaced with something new, one way or another. I will contact S&F today to see what they might offer, but as their warranty card specifically says no body depressions less than 1 1/2" will be covered under warranty, I have few hopes they'll stand behind their product. Will update after talking to them, but in the mean time I would STRONGLY suggest others NOT purchase one of these torture devices.

What was the out come of your findings? I am looking into a new mattress because our Seally posto is doing the what yours is doing but after only 3 years. Aslo, did you find were to contact S&F directly?
We've had exactly the same issue. The bed is so soft that there is no body support and one person sleeps on the side of the valley! We're waiting for the rep to contact the investigator from the store where we bought it...... You'd think that a 2.5K product would be a least sleepable!!!!!!!!!!!
I had this mattress delivered Nov 2012, I am calling Ashley Furniture store tomorrow ....this mattress is 9 months old and has depressions where my husband and I sleep, I am furious that the cost of this mattress is more than I wanted to spend to get an inferior product that is killing my back as well!! I am going to fight this moronic way of measuring the troughs that I have been reading about here. BUYER BEWARE.
UPDATE: When we contacted S&F, we were asked about the depth of the body depressions I'd complained about. I answered "1 1/4 - 1 1/2"". Their reply? HOW did I measure these? My reply: striped the bed, laid a straight edge across it side-to-side, and measured from the straight edge to the bottom of the trough. Their answer: I was measuring it incorrectly! Disgusted, I hung up the phone, seeing that this was going nowhere fast. Bought a Temperpedic that afternoon (for about the same as we paid for the S&F) and for the last 12 months have been absolutely delighted w/it. Subsequently two things came to my attention that, had I know a couple years back, should have been a tip off not to buy another S&F. 1) The company was taken over by KKR, a vulture capitalist group who buys troubled high-end name-brand companies, cheapens the product and production process (excuse me; takes "cost" out of making the products), then harvests the former owners' product reputation while selling cheapened products for as long as they can, until customers stop buying it, and 2) They're now being sold at Costco and - I believe - Sam's. 'Nuf said.
